About Us

Our Mission

AT PACC, we endeavor to pour God’s Love into homeschool families while we provide an avenue for parents to equip their children and point them in the way they should go. We provide classes, electives, and a community to grow with while we pursue that which glorifies God.

Who We Are

As parents we had a desire to give our children a community of like minded peers that they could grow, learn and develop academically, spiritually and socially with. With a combination of both the classical and the Charlotte Mason approach we are encouraging our children to gain an understanding of the world around them while fostering their God given gifts and talents. We have found that this way of learning encourages creative problem solving skills and instills a love and joy of learning. We believe that children should be nurtured rather than merely taught.

“Dedicate your children to God and point them in the way that they should go, and the values they’ve learned from you will be with them for life”

Proverbs 22:6

Our Values

These are the values we cherish and actively seek to cultivate within our culture and community: restful learning, respect, honor, integrity, discipline, peace, responsibility, upholding standards, and a strong sense of community.

Educational Philosophy

We believe that children are born as persons, each with countless possibilities for who they will be and how they will impact the world. We believe children learn best from living sources that offer truth, beauty, and goodness, and we offer them a generous feast of ideas to consider and grapple with. We offer these living ideas through the study of literature, rhetoric, poetry, great works of art, time in nature, historical narratives and biographies of the masters who came before us. We desire our children to develop their own ideas using the synthetic knowledge and skills imparted to them as they have grown. When their formative years are complete, we desire for them to leave our home school with a delightful memory of learning and a passion to continue it. We have come to these beliefs through the study of the works of Charlotte Mason, Dorothy Sayers, Aphthonius of Antioch, Aelius Theon, and other philosophers in the Classical tradition. We believe strongly in requiring ourselves, as the educators, to continue learning and growing in this Classical philosophy.

“One of the best things about PACC is that my kids want to come back for more! They wish school was more than 1 day a week because they love their classes so much! I can also see a huge change in their learning this year. They are excited to tell their friend and family about what they are learning and are now able to identify connections throughout the Bible, history and geography. This year, PACC has enriched our lives so much and we’re so excited to continue for more!”

Our Curriculum

What We Teach

At its heart, a Charlotte Mason education is the purest form of Classical education. The term “Charlotte Mason” refers to an educational philosophy, not necessarily a defined curriculum. We use Charlotte Mason as an approach - it affects how we treat our students and how we go about laying out a “feast of learning”.
